At Children Matter – Therapy 4 Kids, we know that raising a child with intellectual or developmental disabilities often comes with added financial responsibilities. From specialized equipment to therapeutic services, families frequently face costs that are not fully covered elsewhere.
The 2026 Fello Family Fund is now accepting applications and offers financial assistance to qualifying families in Maryland. The deadline to apply is February 21, 2026.
What the Fund Provides
The Fello Family Fund offers up to $2,000 to help cover the cost of a specific service or item that supports a child’s needs. Each family may submit one request per application cycle, and all submissions are reviewed by a designated committee.
This funding is intended to help families access meaningful supports that may otherwise be difficult to afford.
Important Limitations
While the grant can help with certain services or resources, there are restrictions. Funding will not be provided for:
Household renovations
Utility or household bills
Food or grocery purchases
Personal hygiene or care supplies
Debt-related payments
Requests for items or services previously funded
Before applying, families should ensure their request clearly fits within the program’s guidelines.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, families must:
Live in Maryland
Reside in a county served by Fello programs
Have a child diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability
Have a child who is 21 years old or younger as of January 1, 2026
